Institutional Capital Forum

Africa Alternative Assets & Infrastructure Roundtable

A Chatham House-style, invitation-only quarterly forum for pension fund executives, DFI principals, sovereign wealth managers, and infrastructure investors. 40 participants maximum. No stages. No slides. No panels. Just the people who move Africa's institutional capital, in the same room, talking honestly about what works and what does not.

About the AAAIR

Why Africa needs its own Chatham House

The institutions that allocate the most capital to African infrastructure — Nigeria's pension funds, the IFC, the AfDB, DEG, and FMO — have historically had no forum in which to speak candidly about what is working, what is not, and what would change if they had a vote on the agenda.

There is a well-attended conference circuit: SuperReturn Africa, the AVCA Conference, Africa PPP. These are useful for awareness. They are not useful for the kind of frank, Chatham House-protected conversation that actually changes how institutional capital is deployed.

The AAAIR was built to fill that gap. No stages. No slides. No panel moderators managing airtime. Just the people who move Africa's institutional capital, in the same room, following the Lagos Protocol.
