GT Capital Management
Institutional capital. African assets. Superior returns.
GTH's institutional private equity and alternative asset management arm.
The GTCM story
Nigeria's institutional capital market is at an inflection point. Pension fund AUM is approaching ₦20 trillion. PenCom's Regulation 1 alternative investment framework has opened the door to PE, infrastructure, and real estate allocations. DFIs are actively seeking local GPs who understand African risk and can deliver institutional-grade reporting. The opportunity is significant. The supply of credible African fund managers is limited.
GTCM was built into this gap. We operate three investment verticals — Real Estate PE, Infrastructure & Energy PE, and Private Credit — each with dedicated deal teams, a formal Investment Committee with independent members, and a portfolio management function structurally separate from origination. Our model is explicit: a global brand for infrastructure and real estate, and a global brand for the Africa market context.
